Extended Paper Submission

As requested by many contributors, the submission deadline has been changed and authors have one more week to finalize their work. The dealine has been moved from October 10 to October 17, 2020.

New Deadline: 17th October 2020

ICOP 2020 Authors have the possibility to submit an extended version of their presented contributions for publication in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. All papers that are published as part of the Proceedings of ICOP2020, will be made available to all participants.

Papers will be submitted in IEEE Xplore®-compatible PDF form. The IEEE PDF eXpress site will be used to validate the papers.

The extended paper submission should meet the following criteria:

a) Originality: Authors must submit original work that:
• it’ original and has not appeared elsewhere for publication
• is not under review for another refereed publication
• suitably cites previous work, to avoid plagiarism
• indicates how it differs from previously published work.

IEEE policy requires all submissions to its journals and conference proceedings to be screened through a plagiarism detection process.

Checking for similarity with previously published work will be done by the Proceedings Editorial Board, by use of IEEE Cross-Check portal. In case of misused content in meritorious submitted manuscript, the Proceedings Editorial Board may inform the author of the reported similarity and have the author revise the paper accordingly and resubmit it.

b) Language: Contributions must be written in English;

c) Source document: Extended papers (including abstract, tables, figures and references) must be a minimum of 3-pages and a maximum of 4-pages, prepared as camera-ready using the proper template available at the link: https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html

Any changes made to a PDF after IEEE PDF eXpress conversion or PDF Checking may invalidate Xplore compatibility. This includes headers, page numbers, copyright notice, watermarks, etc. If any of these elements are desired, they should be added to the document before a PDF is created.

d) Transfer of Copyright all authors intending to publish in the IEEE Xplore® digital library must provide a transfer of Copyright. IEEE copyright form, properly completed and signed, must be submitted in order to correctly complete the submission process. Instructions to submit an electronic Copyright Form will be mailed to authors, after extended papers have been properly received by the Proceedings Editorial Board (through ICOP2020 Organizers). A specific copyright notice has to be added to the bottom of the first page of the source paper document, as explained afterwards.

e) PDF Instructions: Contributions must be submitted in eXpress- compliant PDF form, following the instructions below:

Before Creating a PDF:

If necessary, contact Proofread your source document thoroughly to confirm that it will require no revision.

For papers in which all authors are either employed by the US government, or are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), or are employed by the European Union, contact the Publication Chair at silvia.pietralunga@ifn.cnr.it for the appropriate copyright notice.

Creating your PDF eXpress Account:

First-time users should do the following:

1. Select the New Users - Click Here link.

2. Enter the following:

49690X for the Conference ID

your email address

a password

3. Continue to enter information as prompted.

An Online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.

Previous users of PDF eXpress need to follow the above steps, but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. Verify that your contact information is valid.

Download the PDF file

Name your PDF File as follows: First Author’s Surname.pdf. Paper file names must be less than 50 characters long.

E-mail your PDF files to: icop2020@unipr.it

Extended papers must be submitted no later than October 17th, 2020. Contributions received after that date will not be taken into consideration for publication in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
