Abstract Submission Guidelines

A 1-page pdf format abstract in English reporting original contributions on the conference topics should be submitted electronically through the ICOP website no later than February, 2020.
Notification of acceptance will be sent to the Author(s) by March 30, 2020.
The use of the template “ICOP2020template.docx” is obligatory.
 
Best Young Researcher Paper Awards
These awards are designed to encourage and acknowledge excellence of young researchers’ oral and poster paper presentations. In order to be considered for these awards, the following requirements must be met:
−    all Authors must have less than 35 years of age at the time of the conference
−    the contribution must be presented by one of the Authors registered at the conference
The Technical Committee will evaluate the papers, both for quality and content, and will then announce the winners of the awards during the conference.
 
What You Will Need To Submit
A completed electronic submission should include the following:
−    Title
−    Author(s)’ information
−    1-page abstract in electronic format (.pdf) for technical review
−    Presentation preference (options are “oral preferred” or “poster preferred”)
−    Additional information for competing for awards, includes a declaration that all the Authors will be less than 35-years old at the time of the conference.
 
Upon submission, please indicate one of the following topics which best describes the content of your paper:
−    Nano and Quantum Sciences
−    Optical Communication Systems
−    Optical Imaging and Sensing
−    Laser and Nonlinear Optics
−    Applications of Photonic Technology
−    Emerging Topics
 
Successful Authors and Accepted Papers: General Rules
For each paper accepted, at least one of its Authors must register for the conference. Each registered Author can be associated with no more than two accepted papers.
Only papers correctly associated with a registered Author will be included in the final online programme/abstract book.
 
Extended Paper Submission Guidelines

The Authors will have the possibility to submit an extended version of their accepted contributions for publication in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. All papers that are published as part of the Proceedings of ICOP2020, will be made available to all participants.
The extended paper submission should meet the following criteria:
−    only original work that has not been published elsewhere and/or not under review for another publication or conference can be submitted;
−    contributions must be written in English;
−    extended papers (including abstract, tables, figures and references) must be a minimum of 3-pages and a maximum of 4-pages;
−    contributions must be prepared in electronic format (.pdf) using the template available at this link: https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html;
−    IEEE copyright form, properly completed and signed, must be submitted in order to correctly complete the submission process.
Extended papers must be submitted no later than September 30, 2020. Contributions received after that date will not be taken into consideration for publication in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

Instructions for electronic submission of the Extended Papers and for the submission of the Electronic Copyright Agreement Form  will be published soon.
